HONESDALE NATIONAL BREAKS GROUND FOR KINGSTON BRANCH
Plans for May 2007 Opening

KINGSTON, PA – Officers and Directors of The Honesdale National Bank were joined by Kingston Borough Officials for the groundbreaking of HNB’s new Branch Office in Kingston. The ceremony took place on Friday morning, December 1st, at the corner of Wyoming Avenue and Bennett Street – the site of the former George Alles Jeep Dealership.

Honesdale National purchased the property in March, razed the existing structures and began the design, permit and bidding process for the new office. With construction now underway, the bank is targeting a mid-second quarter 2007 opening.

In addition to the lobby teller & customer service areas, the 3,800+ square foot Full-Service Branch will house Consumer, Mortgage and Commercial Loan Officers and provide 3 Drive-Up Banking lanes - including a full service Drive-Up ATM - Safe Deposit Boxes and Night Depository service.

The Honesdale National Bank was established in 1836 and is the oldest independently owned community bank headquartered in Northeastern PA, with full service offices in Wayne, Pike, Susquehanna, and Lackawanna Counties and the HNB Mortgage Center, at 38 North Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County.
